Super Heroes and Super Friends Camp

The Power is Yours!
In the last decade, we have witnessed one of the most significant eras of school reform since our system of public education was established. Most discussions about education have been centered on the poor social relationships of our students, such as learning how to work in a group, how to understand and relate to others from different cultures and backgrounds. Both parents and community leaders concur that we want our students to be fully literate, be able to take responsibility for their personal health and wellbeing, recognise the consequences of their actions, be caring individuals and respect others, develop good character, make sound moral decisions and behave in an ethical and responsible manner. The AKLTG Super Heroes and Super Friends camp aims to provide a platform for students to experience the above values.

A character-building journey that empowers our young ones to take 100 percent responsibility for their lives, recognize the consequences of their actions, be caring individuals, respect others, make sound moral judgments and behave in an ethical and responsible manner. The journey of life starts here... Using a powerful analogy of Dr Do Evil and his clans representing all the wrong values, weak beliefs and negative actions which students are mostly exposed to in today's society, the junior heroes band together with Professor Strikes to defeat the 'dark forces' and make new friends.

When you look at the icons an eleven-year old kid adores as he or she grows up, the picture of a hero comes into mind. Good triumphing over evil. Standing up for what you believe in. Being the bigger person and forgiving someone when the logical thing would be to take vengeance. A confident person who knows how to differentiate between right and wrong, is resilient in times of adversity and has a strong sense of consciousness in bettering the lives of people around him or her.

And when you look at it, these very values closely mirror the primary school desired outcomes of education. A coincidence? As every superhero or “shifu” will tell you, there are no coincidences-everything happens for a reason.

So here we present to you our flagship programme that strikes a chord with your son who wants to be like Ben Ten or your daugher who believes in Kim Possible. Superhero Superfriends. For these very values held so dearly by the legions of superheroes across the land of make-believe can inspire our young leaders of tomorrow to believe in the possibilities of their dreams. And help build a better future today.

And unlike the superheroes in the lands of imagination and the silver screen, the superheroes in our programme will give your students something more. For while Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman has to hide behind a mask, we believe that there’s a superhero in each one of us too. And the best way to unleash that power is to unmask our fears and limiting beliefs and come out to be who we were meant to be!
