As the game “Farm Town” on facebook is popular amongst students nowadays, this programme will bring out the game concept into live action. Through this programme, participants will become the farmers’ buddies. Other than simply listening to what the farmers do, they will be given the opportunity to have a hands-on session to help the farmers out in their trade. At the same time, the concept of multiple intelligences and 21st Century Skills are incorporated into the planning of the activities to help mould the character of the participants. Participants are also given the platform to appreciate the outdoors in a fun and holistic way.
Carrot. Papayas. Cucumber. Tomato. Rambutan. Ever wondered where they come from? The answer is of course not the supermarket. They come from the vegetable farm where many other food we eat are planted, nurtured and grown to it’s full potential.
But today, our farmers need some help. Too many crops too grow and too little time. They need nimble little hands, minds of curiosity and those with a sense of adventure!
Come join this journey of discovery and fun as you sow your seeds in the organic soils of Choa Chu Kang and await with glee what you can reap!
