Our Personal Mastery series serves to build a strong foundation in boosting self-awareness and self-management (SEL Framework) by improving self-image, building friendships, resisting peer pressure and achieving goals.

 

What is Personal Mastery?

In addition to once-off workshops, this weekly series is designed to bring the students through a greater level of internalization of the success principles and study strategies by helping them apply it over the course of a few months for greater sustainability in learning.

Students today live in challenging times with tough choices, absent parents, peer pressure, personal insecurities, crippling performance trap, inferiority complex etc. It's not uncommon for many of them to face depression, low self-esteem and even manifest their inner world fears through risky behaviours. Our Personal Mastery series serves to build a strong foundation in boosting self-awareness and self-management (SEL Framework) by improving self-image, building friendships, resisting peer pressure and achieving goals.

  • Jumpstart! Starting Secondary School Life Right – Empowering students with the mindset to not just survive the transition, but to excel in their secondary school life!
  • Beauty and Hero – Empowering students with the awareness, skills and courage to overcome negative stereotyping, sexism, corruptive media, smoking, peer pressure and casual relationship attitude.
  • Resilience – Empowering students to overcome life’s inevitable stress and setbacks arising from academic performance, high achievement standards, peer pressure and family issues.
  • Life Mastery – Empowering students with positive habits, self-awareness, and the will to set clear outcomes for themselves towards achieving excellence in whatever they do.
  • Time Wise – Empowering students to overcome procrastination, to prioritize, multi-tasks and to put ‘first things first’.
  • TetraMap Profiling – Empowering students with a learning model to understand themselves and how to relate to others.
  • Time-out Intervention Programme – Empowering At-Risk students through a proven intensive 6 weeks indoor and outdoor rigorous, progressive and integrated approach, which builds both character and cognitive competencies.
 
 

Take Flight: Weekly Follow-up Coaching Series

In addition to once-off workshops, this weekly series is designed to bring the students through a greater level of internalization of the success principles and study strategies by helping them apply it over the course of a few months for greater sustainability in learning.

The intent of this coaching series is to help the students form new habits in the areas of managing their emotions, goal settings, time management, study strategies to a point where they gain substantial confidence in using these new skills in the lead-up to the exams.

Moving to Secondary school can be fearful and stressful time for most Primary School students. From a school senior who knew how everything is, they are now juniors who are confused and apprehensive about how to cope in a new school environment having to deal with more subjects, making new friends, new teachers and wanting to fit in.

When a student starts off on a wrong foot and experiences a drop in grades, mixes around with the wrong friends or pick up bad habits there will suffer a drop in their self esteem, confidence and level of motivation. Jump Start workshop is designed to not just empower young teens and equip them with fundamentals skills in communication and relationship management to excel in their secondary school life!

 
 

Sexuality: BEAUTY Unraveled

(Female Students Only) In this generation, issues such as negative stereotyping, sexism, corruptive media, the 'wafer-thin' look and many more are issues today's girls are facing. It has come to a realization that many girls do not have the awareness, skills and courage to overcome these situations and many fall as a result. In this workshop we encourage girls to critically evaluate the messages that bombard them every day and develop strategies that help them respond intelligently and objectively.

Resilience (Assembly Talk by Dr. William Tan)

Students today are constantly learning to handle the stress arising from academic performance, high achievement standards, peer pressure and family issues. There is a great need to prepare and equip our young to manage and cope better and be more resilient. We wish we could safeguard and insulate our young from stress, disappointments, struggles, pain, failures, rejection or any of life's adversity.

Even if we are able to do so, will it really do them any good?

Realistically, we have to expect problems. Our youth will be vulnerable. How can we prepare and equip them NOW to cope successfully with the bumps and the difficult challenges and bounce back with buoyancy.

Everybody wants to be successful. But not everyone is able to do that. Why do some students put in so much effort in every little thing they do yet others doesn't even have slight interest in anything that happens around them? Resilience is the Key to Success.

4.1 Attitude

Many underachievers believe that they were just born “loser”, “average” or “not good enough”. Many believe they were born with “lousy attitude” and that they do not have the ability to win and succeed. Beliefs shape our Attitude. Attitude determines what we do and how we do things. Attitude determines the results we get in life.

In this workshop, students will learn they have the Power to Choose their Attitude and shape their life. Choose or Lose.

4.2 Battles

In life, we are given Battles or challenges to fight and overcome. It can be little everyday challenges or a life changing battle. All successful people become successful only because of being able to overcome their Battles. In this workshop, students will learn to change their perception and embrace Battles and challenges in their life. Challenges Build Character. Every battle put in their life is an opportunity to gain more Resilience.

4.3 Compelling Reasons

Resilience and the ability to bounce back in our Battles ultimately come from knowing our Compelling Reasons or Cause for Fighting in what we do. Some people call this Purpose. Without knowing our Compelling Reasons or Cause for Fighting, we will not have the resilience nor even interest in anything we do.

In this workshop, students will discover their Compelling Reasons in their life at the moment. They will also learn how to discover their Compelling Reasons to draw resilience and strength in future Battles.

 
 

Life Mastery for Teens

For most students, the teenage years can be extremely challenging and stressful times. They face constant demands and pressures from parents, friends, teachers and bosses in the working world. Many students who lack the life mastery skills to deal with these challenges often face low self-esteem, lack of confidence, inadequacy and the inability to deal with setbacks and disappointments.

After a while, many shift into a 'learned self-helpless' mentality and stop giving their best. As performances fall and criticisms increase, rebelliousness and indifference in behavior soon follow. This programme is designed to not just empower young teens and equip them with the skills to not just survive, but to excel in life!

 
 

Personal Energy for Teens

Students require an abundance of personal energy to meet and excel in the increasing demands from school, work, family, personal and social commitments. Why do some students possess an abundance of energy and vitality while others constantly feel fatigued, tired, sleepy and lethargic?

In this program, students will learn how to boost their energy levels by learning how to reprogram their thought patterns as well as optimize their oxygen, food and water intakes. They will also learn about the power of aerobic activity and well-rested sleep and its effect on energy levels. With greater personal energy, students will be able to tap much more of their personal potential.

 
 

Time Wise for Teens

'Having no time' is one of the most common reasons that students give for not accomplishing their responsibilities. Yet, giving same number of hours a day, why is it that some students are much more effective and efficient at accomplishing so much more. The reason is because they know how to focus on what it important and to prioritize their tasks accordingly. This program imparts essential Time Management skill that teens must learn in order to be successful in school as well in their adult life.

TetraMap® is liberating for those who grasp how nature's basic elements, Earth, Air, Water and Fire are metaphors for behaviour.

TetraMap® is a cross-cultural training tool for better behaviour and performance in the workplace. It is an elegant way to get people working more collaboratively and productively. It is mapped out on a 3-D geometric shape, the tetrahedron unfolds to create a map linking nature and behavioural relationships.

This training is a memorable mental model for life-long learning and application. This workshop is about learning oneself and choosing how to relate to others.

Each student has many talents, however if the learning environment is biased against their preferences they will become disillusioned with education and may not realize their potentials. This training aims to help student excel through:

  • A better understanding of how they use their time and it's correlation to productivity
  • An understanding of their natural preference in gathering data and making decisions instead of forcing themselves to use an uncomfortable process which often leads to frustration
  • Paying particular attention to skill sets which they may usually overlook or avoid
  • With the proper tools, strategies and belief systems they experience leaps in their growth and will learn to be more confident with themselves

(A Transformational Social Etiquette & Envisioning Experience) The Success Mastery Cocktail Party is specially organized to empower our teens to envision themselves ten or fifteen years later of who they wanted to be and all the successes they had, in a fun and extremely exciting environment. Most importantly, it generates a strong commitment and conviction in the students' hearts and mind that such a successful future is within reach if they so desire. This is a party that could change their lives!
